Scientific Advisory Board

The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) ensures that sound medical and scientific knowledge supports the World Heart Federation’s efforts to reduce the impact of heart disease and stroke.

The role of SAB is to support the mission of the World Heart Federation:  to help people achieve a longer and better life through prevention and control of heart disease and stroke, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries.

SAB fulfils its responsibility to the World Heart Federation mission through its Scientific Councils, Expert Panels, Scientific Programme Committee of the World Congress of Cardiology, and co-sponsorship of Continental Member Society annual meetings (APSC, IASC and PASCAR).  Each of these groups engages in multidisciplinary efforts that support the implementation of mission-focused activities.
