Formats and topics
Over 250 sessions will be presented in the following formats:

Symposia (SYMP) include a maximum of five presentations on the latest developments in fields such as basic science, clinical cardiology and epidemiology.

Debates (DEB) provide a discussion on controversial issues with two statements that will be debated, each with a pro and contra presentation followed by a discussion at the end of each statement.

Clinical seminars (CS) will highlight various specific sub-specialty topics. The sessions do not target exclusively specialists but also a general audience.

and in particular Atrial Fibrillation, Best of Clinical Trials, Biomarkers, Cardiac Imaging, ECG, Interventions (PCR) Rheumatic Heart Disease & Tobacco.

Women’s sessionsThe 3rd International Conference on Women, Heart Disease and Stroke is the first ever to be held in Asia. This programme is being held to address the number one killer of women worldwide: heart disease and stroke – a fact that many women do not know. Globally, each year over 8.6 million women die of heart disease and stroke. Yet most importantly, the majority of heart-related illnesses can be prevented. Join us in the Volga room level 3 & Congo Level 2.

The Chinese Society of Cardiology (CSC) – the Chinese Society of Cardiology (CSC) in conjunction with the World Congress of Cardiology are presenting a series of nine sessions in Chinese language (session room: Mekong, Level 1). Within the CSC programme there will be joint sessions with the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), China Ministry of Health (MOH), Hong Kong College of Cardiology (HKCC) and Macau Cardiology Association (MCA) and American Society of Preventive Cardiology (ASPC).
