Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for international delegates
The World Congress of Cardiology is accredited by the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC) for 18 hours of External CME credits. Each participant should claim only those hours of credit that have actually been spent in the educational activity. One credit may be claimed for each hour of participation in WCC Scientific Sessions. EBAC works according to the quality standards of the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), which is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS).
In compliance with the EBAC guidelines, all speakers and chair persons who are participating in this scientific programme are asked to disclose or indicate potential conflicts of interest which might case a bias in the presentations. The organizers are responsible for ensuring that all potential conflicts of interest relevant to the congress are declared to the audience prior to the CME activities.
The American Medical Association (AMA) has an agreement of mutual recognition of continuing medical education (CME) credit with the European Union of Medical Specialties (UEMS). Under the terms of this agreement, the AMA will convert CME credit certified by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), the accrediting arm of the UEMS, to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
Your EBAC CME Certificate can be obtained as from 11:00 on Friday 18 June 2010 at the self-check-in-stations within the registration area on level 1. Please make sure to keep a record of the session titles / numbers. After completing the EBAC evaluation form you will be able to print your EBAC CME Certificate on-site.
