WCC SCIENTIFIC SESSIONS 2010 NEWS / August 2010
The World Congress of Cardiology Scientific Sessions 2010 (WCC 2010), which took place in Beijing in June, were a great success with more than 10’000 participants coming from 120 countries, 230 scientific sessions, almost 500 faculty members and 85 exhibitors.

ACCESS THE PRESENTATIONS THROUGH WCC ONDEMANDWCC OnDemand, the official conference capture of the WCC Scientific Sessions 2010, is a web portal that gives you the opportunity to view more than 200 educational sessions from the WCC 2010. The speeches and slides of most of the presentations, in their entirety, are available for 12 months. TOBACCO CONTROL AT WCC 2010: TAKING TOBACCO CONTROL TO HEARTTobacco was in the spotlight at the WCC 2010. Working to put tobacco control high on the heart health agenda, the WCC 2010 brought in top experts from around the world, and organized a comprehensive communication strategy to make the congress an effective platform for support of smoke-free policy. A film and position paper produced by the Global Smokefree Partnership and launched at the WCC 2010 were cornerstones of this strategy, which combined scientific content with press activities exhibition activities and participation in a parallel workshop.
