Science highlights and preliminary programme
The World Congress of Cardiology Scientific Sessions 2010 will undoubtedly provide a unique forum for sharing major advances in the rapidly evolving field of cardiovascular disease. The scientific programme will be comprised of more than 250 global sessions with major emphasis on the prevention and treatment of coronary artery disease, management of patients with heart failure, treatment of hypertension and other major risk factors for cardiovascular disease as well as sessions on recent medical trials (under the “best of recent clinical trials” category) together with up-to-date evidence-based guideline discussions. Congenital heart disease, stroke and tobacco, which are of specific relevance to the Asia-Pacific region, will feature strongly in the programme. Various session formats will be offered, including sessions in Chinese, and a large scale of scientific topics will be covered.
