The Framework Convention on Tobacco Control Protocol on the Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products is being negotiated in Geneva between June 28 and July 5

 

Illicit trade in cigarettes costs lives and robs governments of $40.5 billion in lost revenue every year. These costs fall disproportionately on low and middle income countries.
