Our Partners: Achieving 25 by 25 Together

Partnering with World Heart Federation

World Heart Federation alone cannot successfully tackle the cardiovascular disease (CVD) epidemic. Partnerships are essential to the global initiatives which we initiate and without the collaboration of both our members and other parties these would not have the reach and impact which is so badly needed to reach the 25% reduction of premature mortality from cardiovascular disease by 2025 – WHF modified target from the WHO NCD Global Action Plan targets.

Partnering is essential to our core activities

Being a partner of World Heart Federation essentially means you are at the very core of the fight against cardiovascular disease, helping us deliver our key objectives which are:
•    25x25 – focusing all activities to reducing premature mortality from CVD by 25% by 2025
•    Growing the Emerging Leaders cohort – building capacity globally via talented leaders of the future
•    World Congress of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Health – a global convening of experts and organisations (including patients) dedicate to improving cardiovascular health
•    Building CVD Roadmaps – taking the facts we have about improving outcomes in cardiovascular disease and working through our partners at country level to identify gaps in policy and, care and work to find sustainable solutions at a local level
•    World Heart Day – continue to promote awareness of CVD on a global platform and harness the power of individuals and groups to advocate for policies which support CVD health

Thank you to all of our partners and members who joined us for the June 2015 WHF Board retreat near Toronto, which focused on planning our global advocacy approach and partnership work towards our shared goal of 25 by 25.
