This new report by the European Heart Network (EHN) calls for policy makers to take decisive action in the face of disturbing facts on the impact of diet and physical activity on coronary heart disease and stroke (CVD) in Europe.
The report, entitled “Diet, Physical Activity and Cardiovascular Disease Prevention in Europe” is the result of 2 years of collaborative research involving a large number of European universities and experts, representing the most comprehensive review to date of the latest evidence on the relationships between cardiovascular health and what we eat or how active we are. It takes a close look at current European eating and physical activity patterns and proposes a series of policy actions.
