The World Heart Federation is pleased to announce that the next World Congress of Cardiology Scientific Sessions, will take place in Beijing, China from 16 –19 June 2010. Another exciting development is that the 3rd International Conference on Women, Heart Disease and Stroke will be incorporated within the scientific programme and this theme will be fully reflected throughout Congress.

The Congress will be held in the China National Convention Centre (CNCC) right in the heart of the Olympic Green and in the shadow of the “Bird’s Nest” (China National Stadium) and the Watercube (National Aquatics Centre). The World Heart Federation is very grateful for the support of the Chinese Society of Cardiology and the Chinese Medical Association in hosting the World Congress of Cardiology Scientific Sessions 2010.

Each year 17.2 million people die of CVD, 80% of them in the developing world and emerging economies. The Congress presents a key forum to tackle this growing epidemic by sharing science, building capacity and growing partnerships to unite the voices of societies, foundations and partners. It also provides the ideal platform for the World Heart Federation to fulfill its mission: “helping people achieve a longer and better life through prevention and control of heart disease and stroke, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries”.

Join thousands of cardiologists and other healthcare professionals from all over the world as they gather to share the latest science on treatment and prevention. It is a unique networking opportunity on a unique scale – a truly international scientific programme in a culturally stimulating environment.
