HELEN ALDERSON PROMOTED TO CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Helen Alderson has been promoted to the newly-created position of Chief Operating Officer of the World Heart Federation from her previous position of Director of Development.
Ms Alderson joined the World Heart Federation in 2003 as the first-ever Director of development. Since then, membership has grown to 189 heart societies and foundations from 175, the headquarters staff to 14 employees from eight and operating receipts by a compound annual rate of 50%.
“Helen’s promotion is well deserved,” said World Heart Federation Chief Executive Officer Janet Voûte. “She has done marvelous work for the World Heart Federation and its members. Her promotion explicitly recognizes Helen’s contribution and the organization’s need for a Chief Operating Officer to ensure we maintain efficient internal operating procedures while we grow.”
