Members' Advocacy

The World Heart Federation's member organizations are contributing to global advocacy efforts by meeting with regional partners, forming country and regional alliances and increasing awareness of the risk factors associated with Cardiovascular Disease. 

From workshops to letter writing campaigns, our members are working together and presenting a unified voice, collectively raising awareness at the local, national, regional and international levels. 

The World Heart Federation, together with its members are working towards a successful UN Summit on Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs).

Norway NCD Alliance


Kristen Andersen and Carina Alm of World Heart Federation Member organization, the Norwegian Council on Cardiovascular Diseases/Norwegian Health Association, attended the Civil Society meeting of the WHO Regional Consultation on NCDs in Oslo this past November. The meeting (limited to Norwegian NGOs) was attended by 25 organizations and over 50 delegates. Read more >

   

The Americas


The Healthy Caribbean Coalition
is a civil society alliance to combat chronic diseases.
It has as its primary focus the harnessing of the power of civil society in partnership with government, private enterprise, academia, and international partners, to develop and implement a plan for the prevention and management of CNCDs in the Caribbean.
