Slogan and key image

The slogan

The campaign slogan was the central message or idea that was communicated in all promotional and media activities. The slogan for WHD 2010 was: “I Work with Heart”. Building on the previous year’s slogan “Work with Heart”, we wanted to provide a more personal angle for employees to encourage and motivate themselves and others to take the first step toward heart health.

Last year we wanted to challenge people to think about what drives them to perform at work and emotionalise the campaign. By tapping into this personal passion, we aimed to motivate people to stay healthy so they can do what they love for longer.

The key image

In 2009 the key image included a heart shape that was made from different types of footwear that people wear to work, including high-heels, loafers, gumboots, work boots, sandals and clogs. This was designed to represent that one of the few things that everyone has in common – irrespective of their country or working environment – is that each individual can take steps to be more heart healthy.

In 2010, the image was updated to reflect the personal responsibility for heart health, by including an ‘I’ to form ‘I’ Work with Heart.  In addition, a stamp was added to signify the 10-year milestone of World Heart Day and the achievements made in heart health to date.

You will notice that the logo, on the right bottom, turns over to the next page where the 10-year stamp is placed. This is aimed to highlight the next chapter in the progress towards heart health.
