Through its rheumatic heart disease (RHD) control projects, the World Heart Federation works with ministries of health to develop models of RHD control that can be rolled out at the national level and to foster cooperation in preventing RHD at the regional level. The World Heart Federation is currently running RHD control projects in Africa and in the South Pacific. Materials developed for these projects can be accessed free of charge at the World Heart Federation global Centre of Excellence, an online clearinghouse of rheumatic heart disease resources. |

In a pilot social marketing project in Ekaterinburg, Russia, the World Heart Federation collaborated with the Russian Society of Cardiology to increase knowledge and awareness of cardiovascular disease, its risk factors and the link between a healthy lifestyle and a healthy heart. |
