Ladycat supports Go Red for Women
The World Heart Federation’s Go Red for Women campaign is being supported for three years by Dona Bertarelli Späth and her all women’s team of professional sailors on the Decision 35 catamaran, Ladycat.
From April to September 2007 - 2010, Ladycat will be on the waters of Lake Léman, in Switzerland, bringing together a team of top class women competitors. Lake Léman is host to some of the most important sailing regattas in closed waters, races that are covered in the international sailing media.
While sailing has until recently remained largely a competitive sport for men, today many women sail in leading competitions on mixed teams, women’s teams or solo. Competing at high levels requires a fit body and mind.
Ladycat is committed to raising awareness among women both locally and internationally of the need to eat healthily, do physical exercise and stop smoking.
