Cardiac Clinic and Heart Foundation of Botswana

The Cardiac Clinic and the Heart Foundation of Botswana marked World Heart Day with a media outreach effort. Kiran Bhagat, the cardiologist who runs the clinic, told a governmental news agency that more women die from heart disease and stroke than from breast cancer, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS and malaria combined. He urged them to take care of their own health by not smoking, by exercising daily and by eating healthy foods.
