Foundation of Health and Heart (member)

A total of 50,000 copies of the World Heart Day leaflet were translated and printed and it was also published as a special supplement to a medical communications journal.

In cooperation with other cardiology organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Foundation of Health and Heart announced the ''Program for Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases'' nationally, as well as through the United Nations and the Council of Europe.

Risk factor assessment was conducted in all cities in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. At schools and local communities a public tribute was made to the importance of healthy lifestyles and increased physical activity.

In addition, an excursion, “The Path of Health'', was held in cooperation with local communities, schools, associations and sport clubs to promote regular physical activity.

Partnership for Public Health Association (non member)

Promotional materials were distributed from benches in the main pedestrian street in Sarajevo.

Volunteers handed out leaflets to citizens and heart-shaped balloons to children.

Health care professionals volunteered their time to provide advice on heart problems or concerns. Leaflets were distributed in trams in Sarajevo, where paid advertisements were displayed.

In Tuzla, the Center for Heart, all health professionals, patients and their family members received promotional materials.  About 3000 people participated in the events.
