There will be two main World Heart Day events in Switzerland.
Throughout September, 350 specialist pharmacies in German- and French-speaking Switzerland will be offering cholesterol and blood pressure measurement.

On 28 September, in conjunction with the Swiss Hiking Federation, the Swiss Heart Foundation is holding a Heart Walk Day. Together with local heart groups, it is encouraging the population in five regions (Basle, Fribourg, Zurich, Ticino and Grisons) to participate in a series of guided, comfortable 2-2½-hour walks.
