World Heart Day activities will include the distribution of a press release on 20 September, a lower secondary level painting programme dedicated to quitting smoking on the 21st, and a rally on the 27th.
On World Heart Day there will be a half-day symposium organized by Nepal Heart Net and coordinated by the Nepal Heart Foundation, Bal Dhadakan and the Cardiac Society. There will be a talk show with cardiologists on radio and television, publication and distribution of posters and pamphlets, and publication of heart-related articles in various daily newspapers. Activities will take place in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Hetauda and Kavra.
