Nepal Heart Net and Nepal Heart Foundation (member)

World Heart Day activities will include the distribution of a press release on 20 September, a lower secondary level painting programme dedicated to quitting smoking on the 21st, and a rally on the 27th.

On World Heart Day there will be a half-day symposium organized by Nepal Heart Net and coordinated by the Nepal Heart Foundation, Bal Dhadakan and the Cardiac Society. There will be a talk show with cardiologists on radio and television, publication and distribution of posters and pamphlets, and publication of heart-related articles in various daily newspapers. Activities will take place in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Hetauda and Kavra.

Patient Safety First Foundation (non-member)

On 28 September, information regarding heart disease risk factors is being distributed to the general public in Lalitpur via posters, information counters and leaflets.

Advanced Poly Clinic in Kathmandu will be offering free cardiac check-ups, including fasting blood sugar, total cholesterol and blood pressure measurement.
