The NCD Alliance Forum was held in Sharjah, UAE from 9-11 December 2017 and was organized under the banner theme of “Stepping up the pace on NCDs: making 2018 count” with a view of facilitating advocacy planning for the 2018 UN High-level Meeting.
At this Forum, the InterAmerican Heart Foundation was awarded the “Sharjah Award for Excellence in NCD Civil Society Action, Regional Response to Strengthen and Defend National NCD Policies in Latin America” in the Advocacy category. It was presented by NCDA President Jose Luis Castro to Beatriz Champagne and Eugenia Ramos, Executive Directors of the InterAmerican Heart Foundation.
