National experts and colleagues from the different organizations
We are glad to share that the National Expert Consultation Meet of Certificate Course in Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke (CCCS) Cycle-I was successfully conducted on 7th and 8th April 2018 at Radisson Blu Plaza, New Delhi. The two day meet had seen participation of Prof. Salim Yusuf who represented the Population Health Research Institute (PHRI) and World Heart Federation (WHF), Prof. D. Prabhakaran from the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), Dr. Dipti Itchhaporia from American College of Cardiology (ACC), Dr. Neha Sekhri from Royal College of Physicians (RCP) and 13 National Experts from different parts of the country. Colleagues from Sun Pharma were also present during the meet.
The objective of the meet was to review and finalize the course curriculum of CCCS Cycle I. The meeting witnessed extensive review and discussion on all slides of the eleven modules by the partners and the National Expert panel. The valuable feedback received over the two days will be incorporated over the coming days to develop an up-to-date and advanced course curriculum in the field of CVD and Stroke.
The organizers are thankful to Prof Salim Yusuf for his valuable inputs during the discussions and of his nomination by the World Heart Federation to attend the meet. They also appreciate all the valuable guidance and support of their national experts and our partners who attended for making this course successful.
