"I used ♥ to: get my country active and aware of CVD "

As a Type 1 Diabetic patient Advocate, I spread the word through newspaper articles, an opportunity I have from being a Health Writer for The Sensational Paper (the newly emerging African electronic paper) that has tremendous subscribers who constantly check on the news, updates and healthy talks.

On the 10th of September, I took the privilege to publish an article entitled: Diabetes & Comorbidities which articulated the complications that people living with diabetes are/& would incur whilst living with the chronic illness of diabetes and how alert they should be towards getting screened for other complications. Moreover, on the 3rd of September 2020, I also reiterated the fact that: People of all age groups, regions and countries are affected by NCDs. It was with huge emphasis that, worrisomely children, adults and the elderly are all vulnerable to the risk factors (raised blood pressure; overweight/obesity; hyperglycemia-high blood glucose levels; and hyperlipidemia-high levels of fat in the blood) contributing to NCDs, whether from unhealthy diets, physical inactivity, exposure to tobacco smoke or the harmful use of alcohol, as was propagated by (WHO, 2020).
