Cardiology Unit, Department of Medicine. UKM Medical Centre, Cheras, Malaysia
This year with the theme “Share The Power”, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (UKMMC) organized an event on 3 October 2017 at the Main Lobby, UKMMC. The programme started with a walking challenge as a symbolic activity to encourage public to walk as part of a healthy lifestyle. The programme also included health screening (ECG, glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, BMI) and an exhibition from various fields including pharmacy, dietition, physiotherapy, cardiac rehab, cardiothorasic unit, cardiology unit and other external companies. There was also an open talkshow on healthy heart lifestyles, emphasising the importance of diet and exercise to maintain a healthy heart. The event concluded with a delicious cooking demo of 3 dishes: overnight oats, wholemeal tortilla and banana and nut smoothie.
