Kerala heart care Society
The Corporation of Calicut, in association with Kerala Heart Care Society, has held a World Heart Day walk since 2006. Many hospitals, clubs, institutions and associations have actively participated and made these walks a big success: one of the biggest WHD events in India. The Organising Committee for WHD 2017, with Honourable Mayor Shri. Thottathil Ravindran acting as Chairperson and Dr. K.Kunhali as General Convener, held a ” Walk for the Heart” on Friday 29 September, beginning from Mananchira square at 7am and ending at the Town Hall. After a brief interval for morning tea, there was a public interaction programme, featuring Dr. K. Kunhali, President KHCS as moderator and a of eminent cardiologists, including former national President of ICC, Dr. P. K. Asokan.
