Nominations are now open for the World Heart Federation’s 2019-2020 Board. We are accepting nominations for the positions of President-Elect, Vice President-Elect, Secretary-Treasurer and six At Large roles.
The deadline for nominations is 6 July 2018.
The Nomination committee wishes to ensure an equal and balanced representation of all regions and of our diverse membership. With this in mind, we are specifically seeking candidates from the EURO, EMRO and WPRO regions, with priority given to foundations, and candidates from the PAHO, AFRO and SEARO regions, with priority given to candidates from scientific societies. For future board nominations, priority regions will be rotated, giving an equal chance to all our members to be represented.
This year the elections will be held online prior to the General Assembly, which will take place on 7th December 2018 during the World Congress of Cardiology & Cardiovascular Health in Dubai. The new electronic voting system will enable all members, including those that are unable to attend the General Assembly, to vote in advance, thereby removing the need for proxy voting.
